1. The Service Fulfillment Workflow
Our digitisation service is entirely conditional upon receiving your physical materials.
- Customer Requirement: You must mail or deliver your physical book(s) to our designated facility at your own expense.
- Prerequisite to Work: No scanning, production, or digitisation work can begin until your physical book(s) arrive at our facility and are logged into our system.
- Arrival Confirmation: We will send you an official confirmation email on the day your package is received and opened. For books that arrive over the weekend or on a bank holiday, the confirmation email will be sent on the next working day.
2. Shipping and Liability
- Inbound Tracking: We highly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service to send your materials to us.
- Proof of Shipping: In the event of a shipping delay or loss by the carrier, the customer must provide valid carrier tracking information. We are not responsible for packages lost, delayed, or damaged by third-party shipping carriers before they are checked into our facility.
3. Order Expiration and Materials Deadline
- Fulfillment Window: Customers must ship their physical books to our facility within 90 days of the initial purchase date.
- Inaction Consequences: If we do not receive your physical book(s) within 90 days, and you make no contact with our support team, your order will be marked as “Expired.”
- Abandoned Orders: Expired orders are subject to a 5% administrative cancellation fee to cover system processing costs and bank fees, or they may be converted into store credit at our discretion. 4. Communications and Support
We maintain open, active communication channels. If you experience shipping issues, delays, or require a cancellation before shipping your book, you must contact us directly via our official Contact Us page or support@digitisemybooks.co.uk before initiating any third-party payment disputes. All personal data provided during checkout or subsequent communications is securely handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
